  • Dr. Deloris L. Borum, Founder, Emeritus Member

    Dr. Deloris Lee Borum


    • Co-founded Faith For Living Deloris Borum Ministries, Inc., in 1983, along with her late husband, George R. Borum.
    • Established Faith For Living World Outreach Center in 1984.
    • Served as Senior Pastor and Executive Director of the church and ministry since conception.
    • Charter member of the York County Ministers and she serves as Pastor over Pastoral Care.
    • Licensed as a minister in 1973 and ordained in 1982.
    • Bachelor of Arts in Education from Christopher Newport University 1975
    • Master of Arts in Education from the College of William and Mary 1981
    • Began a television ministry in 1993
    • Established the foreign missions ministry in 1996
    • Master of Arts in Biblical Studies & Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Counseling from Patriot University, Del Norte, CO, in 2000 and 2002, consecutively.
    • Taught elementary school in the York County School Division for over 20 years before retiring to serve as full-time pastor.
    • Announced vision to build a home for hurting women and their children called NATASHA House in 2001
    • Opened the Faith For Living Infant/Toddler Development Center, the church’s first business, with operating hours designed to meet the needs of mothers who work late shifts and need extra support, in 2002.
    • Authored 3 books.

    Pastor Borum has dedicated her life to the service of humanity and has yet to see visions of opening a home for the elderly and for inmates reentering society. Her goal is to encourage other small grass roots organizations to develop and serve in smaller communities. The vision God has given Pastor Deloris Borum is coming to pass and serves as the catalyst for and boundless energy of her evolving career in human services.

    Karen Brown

    Personifies the face of the NH resident as she tells her gripping success story that began when she found herself homelessness with three young boys after serving 9 ½ yrs in the Air Force. She has spoken across the peninsula inspiring individuals, civic organizations, businesses, and the faith community to help change lives through NH as she shares her story.

    • Ordained minister since 2003
    • Bachelor of Arts in Education from Christopher Newport University 1997
    • Master of Arts in Christian Education (Patriot University, 2004)
    • Currently completing the course work for her Doctorate in Christian Counseling from Patriot University, Del Norte, CO.
    • Completed Thomas Nelson Community College’s Nonprofit Certification Program in April, 2006
    • Served as secretary for the board of directors, Co-chairman of the Capital Campaign, member of the Public Relations Committee for NH and the capital campaign.
    • Actively engaged in securing interagency agreements for programs that will guarantee NH resident’s success and continued teaching and raising her sons and for a period of four to five years, two of her grandchildren.

    In 2012, Mrs. Brown resigned after teaching 14 yrs to dedicate her life to “building bridges to wholeness”

    Shirley Cooper

    Bachelor of Arts in Math from Old Dominion in 1967, Certified to teach Math, Science, Computers and GED Preparation, 27 years teaching experience in the public school system, Post graduate courses toward a Masters degree in Public Administration, Served 8 years on the York County Board of Supervisors from 1974-1982, two of which, she served as Chairman of the Board

    Crystal Moore

    Served 13 years in United Air Force as A Reprographic Specialist, appointed as liaison to the Government Printing Office.

  • Arthur Lee Evans, Emeritus Member

    Arthur Lee Evans

    Retired Marine Corp non-commissioned officer, serving from 1953-1976. Mr. Evans earned 13 medals and honors during his service, retired from the Defense Logistics Agency after 21 years in 1997, licensed and ordained minister.

    Founder and president of VISIONS 2000, INC., Certified executive coach with the World Wide Association of Business Coaches, B.A. degree from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas and a M.S. from National Louis University, Evanston, Illinois, Postgraduate training in organizational development and diversity.

    Assistant VP of over 10 years, is a professional Process Improvement Deputy Director with an array of expertise in: Project and Process management, Business management, Quality assurance, and Performance Based measurements, Certified CMMI© Lead appraiser and consultant.
